FUNNY AND EASY WAY TO LEARN
In these days, every child has a tablet, a laptop or a smart phone. That's why children have a disorder called ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Therefore, teachers have difficulty in catching students' attention during the lesson. Technology enables teachers to catch their attention. How? What is the most favourite thing that children want to do? Playing game, of course...
There some tools that are educational games. These are Kahoot, Socrative and Plickers which run on tablets, smart phones and laptops. Teachers can use them in classroom when they feel that students don't pay attention so students both have fun in class and listen carefully what teachers say.
Kahoot, which is a collection of questions on specific topics created by teachers, students, business-people and social users, is the most easiest one because the only thing should be done is to register and then lots of quiz can be made for students. After that, Kahoot gives password for students so they can solve the questions together having fun. Teachers can kick out the students from Kahoot Quiz who make fun of and also see who makes mistakes because when someone gives wrong answer, the screen becomes red colour.
Plickers, which is a powerfully simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data without the need for student devices, may have some difficulties because teachers have to print out some plickers cards. Teachers can prepare questions like Kahoot but after preparing questions, teachers should read the cards that he or she printed out with the app called Plickers in his or her phone. No need lots of telephone. One phone is useful. That's its advantages because every student in public school doesn't have the smart phone at all.
Socrative is a smart student response system that empowers teachers by engaging their classrooms with a series of educational exercises and games. After teacher makes the quiz, he or she can see the result in graphs.
Thanks to technology, education is more social, funnier and due to it, teachers create a game-like learning environment in classroom.
